{How To} Make an outdoor light tree

For years I have lusted after this gorgeous Light Tree Tower from Cox and Cox, but at £130 I’ve never been able to justify it.

This summer, when we grew runner beans on wigwam canes it gave me an idea for this Christmas. Using a cheap cane support to help form a wigwam shape, all we’ve done is wound outdoor LED lights around the canes to create a Christmas tree shape. It’s really easy, but I think it’s a very effective and unusual way to decorate our front garden for the festive season.
