Last week I was invited to the launch of Save The Children’s Woolly Wonderland at Westfield Stratford in London. Unfortunately I was poorly and couldn’t make it, so I missed out on the chance to customise my very own Christmas sweater. Open until tomorrow, 13 December, Woolly Wonderland is a Christmas pop-up with customisation stations, knitting workshops, storytelling and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
This is all to raise awareness of Christmas Jumper Day on 13 December, when you can donate £1 to Save The Children to don your Christmas jumper for the day. Now I may have missed out on my trip to Woolly Wonderland, but I didn’t want that to stop me from joining in the Christmas jumper fun, so with some time on my hands today I decided to customise one of my sweaters to give it a festive makeover.
I used designs from my Cricut mini, cut out in glittery iron-on vinyl to add a bit of a sparkle to my plain top. I’ll be donating my £1 tomorrow so I can wear it, and help Save The Children to save children’s lives. I hope you’ll dig out your Christmas jumper too?
