Week three in the Christmas edition of of Lou’s Nature in the Home series. This week’s theme was wreaths, and as I’ve already blogged about our Christmas door wreath, I needed to come up with something else, preferably a quick and easy idea as time is getting increasingly pressured as we tick off the days until Christmas, and the kids’ pre-school term finished on Tuesday so my child-free time is slim-to-none.
We planted a lot of rosemary plants this summer in the garden, and I adore the smell of rosemary so I cut a few sprigs, formed a basic wire wreath and wired on the rosemary. I wanted to add something else to them, but wasn’t sure what, and then a rummage around one of my craft boxes yielded some wooden beads. I gave them a quick update using my metallic sharpies, and wired them to the wreath (the twins helped by rolling the beads all around the living room while I was doing this). I made these gift tags using air-drying clay so popped them on too (I’m a few short for Christmas presents now but never mind, eh?).
I’ve hung them in the spare room so it smells gorgeous for guests staying over the festive period. Which reminds me that I really need to stop crafting and get down to some hardcore cleaning *yawn*.

These are so sweet – I love the addition of the wooden beads and clay tag. Do you reckon they’re adaptable as napkin rings (I’m in charge of the Christmas table).
Happy Christmas Heather!
