This is my second stab at Michelle and Emma‘s #1day12pics collaboration – a picture each hour, all day. We didn’t have anything special planned for this weekend, but I thought that trying to look at a normal Sunday at home with a more creative eye would be a good challenge. I shared my iPhone pics throughout the day on Instagram. Michelle cleverly themes her pics for the day, but the best I could manage was a colour theme running through mine.
8am: Peppermint tea in bed | 9am: Sending OH (who’s been on night shifts) off to bed | 10am: Had some help making the crumble topping | 11am: Heading out to the shops with the twins
12: Getting lunch ready | 1pm: Prepping snacks for the park | 2pm: Playing at the park | 3pm: Early sloe picking 4pm: Water stop back at home | 5pm: Fajitas for dinner | 6pm: Bathtime for les enfants | 7pm: Kids in bed, rewarding myself for surviving the day

These are so lovely. You’ve inspired me to try something similar. I ended up with all black and white, which is kind of cheating.

I love all the pics, – so simple but special. Now I feel I must do better. – Shame the places in my life for the best pictures, (Allotment and the farm) have the worst phone signals

I love the idea of having a theme for the day, I didn’t think of that! For me, we had a pretty mundane day so I wanted to share an average life, average day kind of thing for my #1day12pics.
Love all these photos and snap on taking a photo of the shower! Can’t wait to see what you do next month!

Took much persuasion to get them to stand still long enough for that pic!

There’s definitely a colour theme running through your photos, was it subconscious? I sometimes do this with my shopping and realise I have accidentally matched everything!
Heather Young says
No, I did decide to theme them by colour, although I didn’t decide on the colours until I’d taken the first couple of shots. I quite liked that it acted as a guide when I was choosing each shot.
