Did you hear that 2016 will see the publication of the first ever Urban Jungle Bloggers book? So exciting and very well-deserved! I know Igor and Judith are already busy beavering away, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with – it’s sure to be packed with planty greatness, and I’ll be grabbing my copy as soon as it’s out in September.
This month, Igor and Judith have challenge the urban jungle bloggers to get creative when it comes to showing their plants cohabiting with wild animals! From miniature animal figures to real-life cats and dogs, animals have been starring in their own little jungle scenes. And I’ve included that well-known wild, jungle-dwelling bird, the crane. Let’s just imagine it’s a fantastical tropical toucan or parrot, shall we?
I sat down and made these origami cranes over a quiet cup of coffee the other morning (I had to follow a video tutorial because my brain simply can’t follow origami instructions), and it doubled up as child entertainment. The twins were my avid audience, and made me feel like a superstar with the round of applause they gave me when I finished each one.
