Not the most beautiful of posts I’m afraid, but I’ve had to accept that sharing our van build project to convert a VW T5 panel van into a camper van isn’t always going to be pretty! I’ve got a bit behind with sharing our progress here (check out Algie the van’s instagram feed for more up-to-date reports), but the new floor going down was a landmark moment, so I had to record it.
We don’t want the van to feel too caravan-like (!), so we’re trying to go for options that you wouldn’t necessarily find in a standard camper conversion. The flooring (heavy-duty vinyl from Atrafloor) is the starting point for this. It’s practical and does the job, but offers a hefty helping of character at the same time. It was rather a race to get it down, as we only had a weekend between its delivery and the van going in to have the back seat/rock ‘n’ roll bed fitted, so it was only empty like this for less than 24 hours. I promise I’ll be back to share more with you soon…

I have a big van also. And I’m starting to transform it step by step.
It requires lot of time but Love the idea of traveling with it around Europe.
