Things to do in Queenstown when you’re four: Lake Hayes

  Yesterday I wrote about Arrowtown, and just a short drive (about five minutes) from there is Lake Hayes – a perfect spot to head to after a morning in Arrowtown. While Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown itself is so large that the water is cold all year, Lake Hayes is lots smaller and so the water is much warmer for padding and swimming. Things to do in Queenstown when you’re four: Skyline gondola

Whenever we were walking or driving around Queenstown, the twins loved to spot the stretch of mountain cleared for the Skyline gondolas heading up to Bob’s Peak, and on a clear sunny day, I decided to treat them to a ride. Things to do in Queenstown when you’re four: Queenstown Gardens

We’ve been back home for nearly a month now, but our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand, is still fresh in our minds. It was a fantastic place to go with two four-year-olds and in the time we were there we definitely established some favourite haunts around the town.
