Childhood unplugged at Wriggly Tin with Canopy & Stars

We struck lucky with the weather on the weekend we spent at Wriggly Tin with Canopy & Stars – it was unexpectedly warm and sunny (so unexpected I failed to pack the appropriate clothing!), so it meant we got to really enjoy exploring the site. Wriggly Tin isn’t set up for kids, but for me that’s a huge positive. There’s no playground, swing, playroom or ice creams, but the twins weren’t bored for a second. occupying themselves from the moment they got up until they were tucked up for the night in their bunkbeds. The site is absolutely covered in dandelions, and these…

Canopy & Stars: Family-friendly shepherd’s hut at Wriggly Tin

A week ago we were enjoying a much-needed family break in the Boundary shepherd’s hut at Wriggly Tin with Canopy & Stars. The weather was unexpectedly glorious, and it felt like ages since we’d had a chance to hang out just the four of us, so it was the perfect trip. Wandering back to our hut, dandelion seeds blowing in the sunshine, with the twins running through the long grass and flowers to greet me, or watching the twins walking off to the toilet hut hand-in-hand (this hardly ever happens these days) – the weekend was just full of the kind of…

Family glamping in the Dordogne

Our family holiday this summer came close to being pretty much our best ever. It takes quite a lot to beat nearly five weeks touring around Europe, but our trip to the Dordogne in France this year ticked so many boxes that I had to share the details with you. We first heard about Huttopia when my sister-in-law went with her family last year, and we were instantly smitten – the campsites looked like our ideal size (not too big, pretty low-key) with plenty of space and an approach that keeps the impact on the environment to a minimum. After…

Knepp Wildland Safaris with Canopy & Stars

This time last week I was packing a bag ready to set off for a night at Knepp Wildland Safaris with Canopy & Stars. You may remember that as part of the CS Collective (Canopy & Stars bloggers’ collective), I got to explore Harptree Court and stayed in the most idyllic fisherman’s hut in Normandy last year. I’m thrilled to be working with them again this year, and they organised a perfect meet-up at Knepp. Lots of my favourite bloggers were there – Lou, Lori, Hannah Sarah-Lou, Laura, Kat, Sara – along with some new faces that it was great…

Treehouse dreams with Canopy & Stars

As if my wanderlust wasn’t bad enough, I can now add a stay in a luxury treehouse to my travel bucket list. Last week I spent an idyllic day in the stunning surroundings at Harptree Court in Somerset with Canopy & Stars and a handful of lovely bloggers. Harptree Court wowed us with its splendour and history, and the grounds were just beautiful – wonderfully peaceful and the walled garden so full of blooms, it took your breath away. But the thing that got my heart racing was their treehouse – imagining a night there up in the trees had…
