In around 144 days time, if I stick to my one-a-day rule, I should have 144 granny squares ready to assemble into a blanket. I’ve wanted to get to grips with crochet for ages, mainly inspired by my clever friend Emily, and as my sole aim for 2013 is to be more creative, it seemed the perfect moment to begin. After a crochet lesson with my mother-in-law over Christmas, today I took the plunge and bought my yarn, with colours selected to match our gorgeous living room rug.
I shall keep you updated on my (painfully slow, I’m sure) progress. I’m starting tonight (staying in is the new going out, don’t you know?) and am nervous and excited in equal measure…
Emily says
You’ll do more than one a day once you get going, I’m sure of it. It’s going to be gorgeous.

*grins widely*
Snafflesmummy says
How exciting. I agree, once you get going you will whizz along
Heather says
I’ve done three squares and I’m already finding them so much easier.
mum of all trades says
It is very addictive! Good luck with it.
Heather says
Yep, officially addicted already!
