{Make it} Interiors ideas for friendship bracelets

Did you go through a phase in your teens of obsessively making friendship bracelets? I know I did, and after seeing lots of layered up friendship bracelets in fashion shots on Pinterest, I could almost hear the embroidery threads calling to me to make some again.

This time, however. I thought I’d make them to brighten up my home rather than the wrists of me and my friends. I’ve had these double-sided photo frames for a while (you can get them from Decorator’s Notebook), and each frame is strung with recycled sari tie. I swapped the sari for a pair of matching friendship bracelets, each looped around a simple silver jewellery jump ring to hook over a nail or hook on the wall.

I have a huge collection of glass jars and vases. I’ve always loved the idea of looping necklaces round the necks of bottles, and decided to use a couple of bright friendship bracelets instead. The great thing about this is you can use colours in the bracelets to perfectly suit your colour scheme at home.

Annoyingly I can’t find any of my old ones, though I’m sure I put them somewhere safe.
