Last night I hosted my first Stella & Dot party. My very good friend Jo has been a stylist for two and a half years so it was well overdue. I put aside my anxieties – did I know enough people to invite, would enough people turn up, would anyone actually spend anything, would Jo have a wasted trip round the M25 – and booked in a date.
And it was SO much fun. Seriously. Jo had a huge range of stuff and I reckon I tried on pretty much every necklace, and there were a lot of them. I literally changed what I was wearing every couple of minutes (tip: trying on so many things leads to huge confusion about which you love most) and I now have an incredibly long wish-list. I think even the most skeptical guests were won over because not only are the pieces stunning, there’s also a brilliant focus on versatility. There are necklaces that can be adapted so they can be worn multiple ways, reversible earring (really), bags that are essentially three bags in one. We were wowed by the cleverness.
The big hit of the night was without doubt the Crescent ear jacket from the new collection. I’ve actually pinned a few ear jackets recently (to my ‘for wearing’ board) as I’m suddenly really into wearing earrings again, so it was great to be able to try the ear jacket on. It really did suit everyone that tried it – and can be worn with either of the two stud options it comes with, or with any of your own studs.
I thought I’d take my party into the virtual world by sharing the link to my personal Trunk Show, where you can shop until Sunday.
For any shopping after that check out Jo’s page because I totally can’t recommend her enough. She’s blooming ace.
