We’ve had some exciting guests staying with us for the last few weeks as part of B&Q‘s new partnership with wildlife charity Butterfly Conservation. The aim of this collaboration is to encourage people to plan butterfly and pollinator-friendly plants in their garden to help create a better home for insects. We recently decorated our hallway, stairway and landing – finally ridding the house of its last areas of beige and magnolia, and painting everything a fresh, bright white. Obviously this meant taking everything down off the walls, and I’ve taken my time deciding what to fill that great, white expanse of wall on the stairway. B&Q‘s Spring Summer range of homewares has just hit the shelves as part of their ‘Let’s decorate’ campaign, and the products really are all kinds of awesome. There are four collections for Spring Summer: Summer Daze (think Scandi style done with pretty pastels), Meadow (full of fresh shades and motifs taken from nature), Touch Of Luxe (bold and rich with deep colours and gold accents), and Kasbah (bold patterns and plenty of texture).
