This post is all about the holiday I’m enjoying in France right now. My thoughts were focused on packing, full of excitement and anticipation, so I quickly styled up a flat lay to illustrate that. After almost killing myself trying to get all my work and blog posts finished before we went away, I ended up deciding that it would actually be preferable to spend a little bit of time on the laptop while on holiday rather than pulling an all-nighter before we left. Now we’re here, and it’s lovely, and it’s everything I imagined and more. Except that somewhere… View Post

Oh, June. More time spent indoors than expected, getting caught in showers, soggy feet, reaching for a blanket in the evening. So what’s a girl to do, but to attempt to bring a little summer inside with a jug of blooms? I cheered myself up yesterday with a trip to my favourite florist and some Styling the Seasons faffing. I’m not normally drawn to pink, but I think Katy’s kitchen makeover might have swayed me, and I love how it looks next to the black wall. The month of May has meant a lot more time spent outside. The weather has been kind to us, we had our impromptu weekend away in Dorset, plus we’ve been hard at work in the garden – an ambitious project that I’m sure I’ll be sharing with you soon (if you follow me on snapchat – heatheryounguk – you’ll have already seen a bit of what we’ve been up to). Did you know it’s UK Coffee Week? “A united platform where coffee operators, trade professionals and consumers can join together in celebration of the coffee industry and raise funds to give back to the communities which grow our coffee” – click here for a map to find out which of your local coffee shops are taking part. And so to celebrate in my own way, I thought I’d style up my kitchen table in a little homage to coffee for this month’s Styling the Seasons. You’re probably aware that I have a bit of a thing for coffee. Not any… View Post

As I’ve cleared out the clutter, I’ve been able to give the things I really love more space to be displayed. Whilst tackling the mammoth job of clearing our garage, we discovered a collection of pots made by Ben’s gran, that were carefully wrapped up and stored away in a box buried deep in all our accumulated junk. I can only think that they hadn’t gone out on show… View Post
