My name is Heather and I have an addiction to plants. Although you guys probably knew that already, right? Now, those gorgeous folks Igor and Judith came up with the theme of ‘plant selfie’ for September’s Urban Jungle Bloggers, and although I’m no huge fan of posing for the camera I couldn’t help having a little fun at the weekend. I chose the newest member of my little plant family to join me for this post – this beautiful string of hearts usually sits on the shelves above my desk but apparently she’s also quite happy perched on my head,… View Post

Did you hear that 2016 will see the publication of the first ever Urban Jungle Bloggers book? So exciting and very well-deserved! I know Igor and Judith are already busy beavering away, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with – it’s sure to be packed with planty greatness, and I’ll be grabbing my copy as soon as it’s out in September. This month, Igor and Judith have challenge the urban jungle bloggers to get creative when it comes to showing their plants cohabiting with wild animals! Some friends and I have been taking it in turns to host dinner and we we decided to go with a Greek theme when it was our turn to have everyone over. My husband and I met on Crete and Greece is one of our favourite places in the world so Greek food always brings back happy memories. I wanted to… View Post

A good cup of coffee (strong and black with a large brown sugar cube please) is a firmly established addiction in my life, and I’m definitely cultivating a new addition to houseplants, evidenced by my frequent trips to our local garden centre. I hold Igor and Judith directly responsible for this – Urban Jungle Bloggers has provided endless inspiration, and the surfaces in our home are fast filling up with greenery as a result. Maybe this green-fingeredness will even extend to our garden this year.. anything’s possible I guess. The challenge for January was to combine coffee and plants in… View Post
