So, as I mentioned briefly in yesterday’s post, voting for this year’s Amara Interior Blog Awards #IBA17 closes THIS FRIDAY at 5pm. As always, I have left it until the eleventh hour to beg for your votes, but I am nominated for Best Craft Blog and I would be really thrilled to make the final shortlist. In a bid to win you over, I thought I’d do a super-quick round-up of my five most popular craft posts over the last year. Here goes…
I made these compact Plywood bedside shelves back in February for our guest bedroom and I have plans to make up another set to go by my desk in my home office.
Christmas is where my crafting always peaks. These 5 Kraft paper Christmas gift wrap ideas were last year’s instalment in my long-running series of brown paper wrap ideas. Can’t believe it’ll be time to come up with a new set of ideas very soon..
Another Christmas favourite – this was 2017’s DIY contemporary advent calendar. Funnily enough I had an idea for this year’s on my commute yesterday, so I’m already looking forward to creating that. No doubt I’ll leave that to the last minute as per usual though. Also in Feb project, this herb planter was made out of a piece of guttering. Admission – I didn’t water this thyme enough and it’s died over the summer. Replanting some new herbs is on this weekend’s to do list.
I need to use these Water tally magnets more! I was great at it for a while, but my good habits have faltered a little. Time to get back on track.
I’m determined to get better at carving out time to craft, as trying to fit it in since starting my new job has been a real challenge. But I’ve been busy this week brainstorming project ideas, so you can definitely expect more craft content here on Growing Spaces very soon. If you’re keen to see more, I recommend you give me a kick up the bum to get on with it, with a vote for me in the Best Craft Blog category!! Shameless 😉
