Easy Valentines cards for kids to make

Valentines caterpillar card for kids | Young and Younger

Homemade Valentines card for kids | Young and Younger

Spotted these heart caterpillars on Pinterest (where else?!) and thought they’d be perfect for the twins’ Valentines cards this year. I cut out hearts in lots of colours and then the twins stuck them onto a sheet of A4 white card, folded lengthways in half. They added googly eyes and pipe cleaner antennae.

It was Ez’s idea to use two hearts to make a butterfly on the back of the card and then both the twins wanted to keep going so they grabbed their felt tips and coloured sky and grass.

We’re not home for Valentines this year (away in New Zealand) but we wanted to leave a surprise for Daddy, who’s been left home alone. I cleared a space inside the twins’ wardrobe and we’ve covered it in heart banners and left our cards there for him to find.

Happy Valentines.
